Ultimate Holiday Detox Smoothie

After the Holidays are over, I always am left feeling sluggish and in need of a boost. I find comfort in the fact that I can always turn to my healthy foods to detox and reenergize my body. Even though there are tons of foods that are healthy and detoxifying, I wanted to create one big power smoothie that will energize, detoxify, and nourish you back to your ultimate health after the holiday indulgence. You should drink this smoothie first thing in the morning right after drinking an ice cold glass of water to reap the most benefits. You can either drink it right when you wake up, or following a fasted cardio session which helps burn the most amount of fat!

I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and is ready to take on the week starting with this delicious & nutritious detox smoothie! You might notice that the color turns out more brownish instead of green- that's ok! It just depends on the colors of your fruit!

In blender add
1 large handful (or 1 cup) of spinach or any leafy green lettuce
1/2 cup cucumber
1/2 large apple
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp manuka honey
1 cup of ice
1 tsp coconut flakes (for topping only)
1 1/2 cups of water apple cider vinegar mixture
(add 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar to 1 1/2 cups of water)

Blend it all & enjoy!
